Your source for research-grade casts of some of South Africa's most famous fossils

In collaboration with the Ditsong Museums of South Africa 

Cradle Casts provides the only licensed and research-grade casts of selected items from across the Ditsong Museum network, including fossils from the Plio-Pleistocene Section at the Ditsong National Museum of Natural History.

Our casts are produced either directly from the Ditsong museum master positives of the fossils themselves, or from new generation molds produced from non-invasive surface and micro-CT scan datasets.

While research-grade hominin casts are our core focus, we also offer a range of novel specimen reproductions like our series of 50% scale hominins. We also are able to produce casts from the hundreds of unique fossil specimens curated at the Ditsong National Museum of Natural History - and across the family of Ditsong Museums - on request.
